PADI Adventure Diver Course

The Padi Adventure Diver course is ideal for those who are on a time or monetary budget but still want to gain more experience. Its part of a build up towards the Padi Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

The PADI adventure diver is consisting of only three sections of the full Padi advanced open water course.

To complete the Padi adventure diver course

  • 3 elective specialty dives over 1 or 2 days
  • 3 knowledge development sessions via the online Padi eLearning Classroom.

There are no mandatory elective dives with this course, you can choose any dives that interest you.

Elective Dives

Elective specialty dives, there are three to choose. AWARE fish identification dive; boat dive; digital underwater photography; drift dive; multilevel and computer; night dive; peak performance buoyancy dive; search and recovery diver or underwater naturalist. The other knowledge and skills you get can vary with your interest and the adventures you plan – the most popular dives are photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks in Cyprus.

Minimum requirements

Padi certification is an open water certification or same level from another diver organisation equivalent. Upon completion of the course you will receive a PADI Adventure Diver Course Certificate which is recognized and accepted throughout the world. This cert can also be used as credit towards the full PADI advanced open water course.

Dates will be based upon your own choice. All courses are one on one or as part of friends and family.

Minimum Age

PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 10 years old and want to take the next step should enroll in an Adventure Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with our PADI Instructor as it will be dependant of many factors.

Equipment

Along with using basic scuba equipment, you will learn to use specialised dive gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. You may or will need a dry suit for the Dry Suit Adventure Dive. Our PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as a dive light for night diving or a lift bag for search and recovery diving.

Padi eLearning

When you complete the Padi eLearning Advanced Diver Course, you are completing the full course. So if in the near future you want to upgrade from Padi Adventure Diver to the full Padi Advanced Open Water Diver there will be no more theory to complete, just the diving.
