Minimum Requirements

PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

What will you learn?
To complete the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will have to complete 3 sections; Knowledge Development, Confined Water Sessions and Open Water Sessions.

Knowledge Development
You will receive a code for the PADI Open Water Diver Touch. This is an eLearning platform/app available to use on mobile devices where you will gain knowledge and complete exams to monitor your progress.

Knowledge development and all exams must be completed before you arrive for your first confined water session.

Confined Water Sessions
You will complete 5 Confined Water Dives with practical skill development over 4 evenings.

Open Water Sessions
You will complete 4 Open Water Dives over 2 days at an open water site
(Site confirmed closer to date, Site/Boat entry fees may apply)
Once all of the above is complete, you will qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver!

What scuba equipment will you use?
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. The equipment you wear varies, depending upon whether you’re diving in tropical, temperate or cold water.

Attention – Covid Rules
For hygiene reasons, we ask that each diver has their own Mask, Snorkel preparation for your first in-water session. For Scuba Mask Kit bundles.

Online PADI Open Water Diver Course
As part of our cost for the course €550, €185.00 for elearning paid directly to PADI. We will organise everything for you. We will pay Padi and send you your access Passes for the Padi elearning.

Padi eLearning is a great way for you to save time before you’re on your holidays, start learning to dive now! E-learning is to classroom learning as cell phones are to a pay phone at the bus or train station.

PADI online eLearning (e Courses), you can sign-up and complete the knowledge-based dive training from the convenience of your home, office or on the road, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

PADI’s eLearning system gives you the flexibility to study course material at your own pace. However, during the course, you can access the support of a PADI Professional with your very own Personal Padi Course Director in Cyprus by email or phone to get guidance and help about the topic you are studying.

After completing the online knowledge-based portion of the course, the PADI eLearning system plugs you into training with your PADI Instructor Joey Ridge – for the best part: diving!
